Clearing Cache Memory
Every web browser stores web pages, images and other downloaded content on the computer. This is called the browser's cache. Clearing it occasionally or regularly can protect your privacy and free up some space in your computer. Also, it helps the website to update occasionally when new information is inserted or new photos are placed. Since every browser is different, the following sections will outline the steps involved in clearing the cache for several popular web browsers.
In Internet Explorer:
Once your browser is open, click the Tools menu. Click on Delete Browsing History...
Select "Temporary Internet Files". Click on "Delete."
In Firefox:
Open the Tools menu and click on Clear Recent History. Beside the "Time Range to Clear", click on "Everything". Click on Details and select only Cache. Select Clear Now.
In Google Chrome:
Select the tools menu (the wrench in the upper-right corner and select Options. Select Clear Browsing data...
Select the Empty the cache checkbox. Select the period of time for which you wish to delete cached information using the Clear data from this periond: dropdown menu. Click the Clear Browsing Data button.
In Opera:
Select the Tools menu and click Delete Private Data. Click Details button. If you do not wish to delete cookies, saved passwords, etc., remove checks from them in the list. Press Delete.
In Safari:
(In Mac OSX) Click the Safari menu and select Empty Cache. Click Empty.
(In Windows) Click the Edit menu and select Empty Cache. Click Empty.
Warnings:
Deleting cookies and deleting the cache are different. Make sure you select the correct ones.
